Description

The mP6210 is an alternator voltage regulator with power output stage, it can support 14V or 28V high side field driving system. It supplies a current through a high side MOSFET to the excitation coil of the alternator and provides an internal freewheeling diode.
The mP6210 provides a regulated voltage feedback system to monitor and compare the system battery voltage to programmed set point value. The compared result will direct drive Filed coil to control the average alternator field current in response to system load current.
The mP6210 provides Initial Soft Start and Load Response Control (LRC) functions to eliminate engine torque decrement due to sudden loads transition at low RPM. It also provides Lamp Short, Relay Short and Field Short circuit protection.
The presence of eFuse cells for parameters programmability makes it suitable for a wide range of charging application.
